Not a good place to rent from hence the 2.1 star review they have. Our apartment reeked of cigarettes the entire time we lived there so Iâm assuming the previous renter smoked heavily indoors as we do not smoke. The âsmoking rulesâ are not enforced at all, our upstairs neighbors smoked right off of the balcony and threw cigarette butts all over my patio. My girlfriend Isabel left a review as well and Iâd like to respond to some of the points the property manager mentioned in her response to her review, we were never offered a door sweep or regular pest control. She works from home so the comment about âalways being awayâ during their business hours for maintenance is also a lie. Very poor response from management attempting to make the renters look like they are in the wrong instead of owning up to their horrible management. We had two floods, one being in the bathroom and regardless of if the upstairs renters âallow you access to their unit or notâ the concern of mold sitting in the ceiling is a SERIOUS issue that was never addressed even though we brought it up. The second flood WE fixed ourselves as maintenance never stopped by to fix the issue, you can say itâs because âwe werenât homeâ but that is completely untrue. Not to mention arenât we supposed to receive a call in advance as Domuso states when you file a maintenance request? Because that never happened either. Overall a TERRIBLE place to rent and I hope nobody wastes their time or money renting at The Pointe at Fort Union. Any complaints / issues you have will be unaddressed or turned around on you as the renter.

Mary, the new manager, is making a positive impact by building relationships with the residents and addressing the community's needs. The addition of Jessie, the maintenance guy, has also been a game-changer. His professionalism, attention to detail, and willingness to stay until the job is done correctly are all excellent qualities. It's clear that he takes pride in his work and is committed to making sure the residents are satisfied. It's starting to feel like we are a part of a community again, and that the efforts of Mary and Jessie are making a positive difference. Having a sense of belonging and feeling like you're part of a "home" can be a huge factor in overall happiness and well-being. I hope this trend continues, and that Mary and Jessie continue to make a positive impact on the community. It's a good feeling that there are still people who care about making a difference in their work. On the flip side: The constant frustration of unnecessary rent hikes and exorbitant fees! It's infuriating to feel like we're being nickel-and-dimed to death, forced to pay more and more for the same subpar amenities. Take my own experience, for instance - when I moved in, my rent was a reasonable $1275 ($1375 with fees) but now it's skyrocketed to a whopping $1390/month counting the multitude of additional fees we're expected to pay on top of that, it now comes out to $1,681. Meanwhile, the apartments themselves are far from luxurious, so why should we be paying premium prices for them? It's time for a change - we deserve better than to be treated like ATMs by the owners.

Update: Thank you for bringing Jesse back! He works when on the property unlike Josh who spends the majority of his time on the property making out with one of the tenants and chatting with the others. A few minutes here and there would be one thing, but he spends hours not doing anything when here. It is frustrating as a tenant with an open maintenance request to watch Josh not get shit done when he is here and to be told by him that he isn't having Jesse come here for a while. My maintenance issue hasn't been touched during Jesse's absence because Josh is too busy getting his jollys in. I don't know where to begin and since I currently live here, I don't dare. Renter beware.

If i could give 0 stars I would. I lived here for 11 months and had nothing but problems from the moment I moved in. Apartment was full of dead bugs and the baseboards had cat pee all over them when I first moved in. Maintenance is an absolute joke, it took emergency maintenance 4 hours to come over and ârepairâ a flood in our bathroom. Not to mention the flood was from the upstairs neighbors toilet leaking toilet water all over my bathroom. She came over and poked a hole in the ceiling to remove the built up water and told us to keep a bucket under the leak and left. I had concerns of possible mold in the ceiling from standing water sitting there for who knows how long? Was told it would be âtoo much of a hassleâ to check for mold. Nobody is ever in the office, they say theyâre in the office on Thursdayâs and nobody ever is. We had a second flood towards the end of our lease in the kitchen and submitted a request, didnât hear back for 2+ weeks so we called emergency maintenance only to be told we werenât calling âafter hoursâ so she couldnât help, she advised us to call the main office which we did multiple times with no response. We ended up repairing the flood ourselves and then maintenance finally decided to âstop byâ 3 weeks later to help us, not to mention he just let himself in after I specifically selected âdo not enter without my permissionâ on the maintenance request. My apartment was full of bugs from the 1/2 inch gap thatâs left open when you close the front door AND the 1 inch crack in the window with the swamp cooler. Swamp cooler was FILTHY when i moved in, a THICK layer of sludge filled the filter which I had to clean myself. All property management employees are extremely rude, unresponsive and unprofessional. After I moved out i had a $120 fee to pay, we asked what it was for and couldnât get a direct answer until finally we were told âoh our billing system is 2 months behind so you owe 2 months of sewer/garbage payments.â Extremely over priced for what you get. Do not waste your time or money. In response to the property managers reply, I appreciate your response but everything you said is a lie to try to save your horrible complex. Not a single thing you said was true aside from your response to the utility bill. I work from home and am always home, especially when I have a maintenance request pending. We were NEVER offered a sweep to go under our door and weâre NEVER offered pest control. Water is an emergency? Iâm aware of that and am extremely disappointed it took 3 weeks before anyone followed up. Do not say I wasnât home because I was. I work from home 7:45am-4:00pm so do not tell me iâm unavailable during YOUR operating hours. if it was such an emergency, emergency maintenance would have helped when I called but she just sent me to the main office which i called 3 times and nobody picked up or followed up with me! I have no interest in arguing with you but just wanted to make others aware of how horrible your property is! thanks! (:

Iâve have Mary as a property manager for a couples years now and she is nothing professional and understanding. She goes out of her way to make sure everybody is treated equal and respected by not only the staff but neighbors as well. The property has really made a turn around since she has been here and I see it only getting better as she progresses with this state. New lighting, new upgrades, fire pit looks amazing used it a couple times itâs a great ambience.
